iFilm English TV to air ‘A Passenger to Rey’

iFilm English TV‘s mini-series ‘A Passenger to Rey’ has been scheduled to go on air from April 16, 2023.

The series, directed by Davoud Mir-Baqeri and produced by Manouchehr Mohammadi, is a religious-historical drama about Abdol-Azim Hassani, the trusted companion of Imam Hadi (AS), the tenth Imam of Shia Muslims.

During the reign of the Abbasid caliph, Mutawakkil, Imam Hadi (AS) sent Abdol-Azim to the Iranian city of Rey to unite the Shias and bring an end to the discord among them.

Thus, he begins his journey from Iraq to Rey and along the way; he meets different people with different thoughts and beliefs.

'A Passenger to Rey' recounts the story of this great religious scholar whose shrine in the Iranian city of Rey is among one of the country’s most notable holy sites.

The cast list of the series includes Behnaz Jafari, Sirous Ebrahimzadeh, Daryoush Arjmand, Setareh Eskandari, Vishka Asayesh, Sirous Gorjestani, Siavash Tahmoures, Zohreh Hamidi, Farideh Sepah-Mansour, Hassan Pourshirazi, Mohammad-Reza Sharifinia, Reza Rougari, Saeed Nikpour, Enayat Bakhshi, Mohsen Qazi-Moradi, Reza Karam-Rezaei, Hadis Fouladvand, Zhaleh Olov, Jamshid Hashempour, Parvaneh Masoumi.

‘A Passenger to Rey’, made in 2000, is scheduled to be the replacement for ‘Imam Ali (AS)’ and will be aired daily at 23:00 GMT.

iFilm English TV will also repeat each episode of the series the next day at 05:00, 11:00, ,17:00. The mini-series comprises five episodes.
